Make an overbearing presence shrink behind the light it tries to block.
What you’ll need
- A candle in a stable holder
- A small harmless object
- A fireproof surface
The ritual
- Place the object between the candle and a blank wall on a clear, fireproof surface.
- Light the candle and name the overbearing behavior while watching the shadow.
- Move the object farther from the flame until its shadow grows smaller.
- Extinguish the candle fully and take one action that reduces the behavior’s reach.
