The herb toss
Scatter three familiar dried herbs and read their distance, direction, and meeting points.
What you’ll need
- A pinch each of dried rosemary, mint, and bay
- A light-colored cloth
- A small bowl
The ritual
- Assign rosemary to what endures, mint to what renews, and bay to what succeeds.
- Mix the herbs in the bowl while holding your question, then toss them gently across the cloth.
- Notice which herb travels farthest, which remains near you, and where two or more meet.
- Write an interpretation using the three assigned meanings, then return the herbs to compost.
