THE GRIMOIRE / CURSES

The lemon peel for lies

Make repeated lies too sour to repeat and too obvious to swallow.

What you’ll need

  • A strip of lemon peel
  • A square of paper
  • A clean jar

The ritual

  1. Write the lie on the paper exactly as it was told, without embellishment.
  2. Rub the yellow side of the peel across the folded paper.
  3. Place both in the jar and close it while saying, “Your words reveal their taste.”
  4. After three days, compost the peel and preserve any real evidence separately.
