The three-stone casting
Cast three marked stones to consider what is known, hidden, and changing.
What you’ll need
- Three small stones
- A pencil or paint marker
- A square of cloth
The ritual
- Mark the stones with a circle, a line, and a cross. Let the circle mean known, the line changing, and the cross hidden.
- Spread the cloth flat and speak the situation you want to examine in one sentence.
- Cup the stones in both hands, shake them gently, and cast them onto the cloth.
- Read the stone nearest you first. Notice which symbols touch or stand apart, then record the story their positions suggest.
