The vinegar jar for gossip
Sour the appetite for rumors and close a circle of talk that has crossed your boundary.
What you’ll need
- A small lidded jar
- A splash of vinegar
- Paper and pencil
The ritual
- Write the rumor or pattern of gossip on the paper without writing a person’s name.
- Fold the paper away from you three times and place it in the jar.
- Add enough vinegar to cover the paper and close the lid tightly.
- Keep the jar in a dark cupboard for a week, then empty it into the sink, rinse the jar, and recycle the paper.
