The blood-oath release
Release a promise once marked in blood when it no longer reflects your consent or values.
What you’ll need
- One drop of your own blood already available from routine medical testing or menstruation
- A cotton swab
- Two sheets of paper
- A black pencil
- A sealable disposal bag
The ritual
- On the first sheet, write the old oath and the reason you are withdrawing it.
- On the second, write the boundary or promise that replaces it.
- Place one blood mark across a drawn line beneath the new words and let it dry fully; tear the old oath through its text.
- Seal the swab and torn oath in the disposal bag, wash your hands, and store the dry replacement oath privately.
