The covered mirror
Deny a manipulator the reflection and reaction they use to control a room.
What you’ll need
- A small intact mirror
- An opaque cloth
- A safety pin
The ritual
- Look into the mirror and name the reaction the person tries to provoke.
- Cover the mirror completely with the cloth so no reflection remains.
- Secure the cloth with the closed safety pin and say, “You receive no image from me.”
- Store it covered while practicing a neutral response; uncover it when the pattern no longer controls you.
