The crossed black pins
Cross out a hostile demand before it can fix itself into your schedule.
What you’ll need
- Two black safety pins
- A cork coaster
- A paper label
The ritual
- Write the demand on the label and place it beneath the cork.
- Close both safety pins and press them into the cork in the shape of a cross.
- State what you will do instead of complying.
- Keep the crossed pins in place until the demand is withdrawn, then remove them and discard the label.
